ผู้บังคับการตำรวจภูธร จ.นครพนม เปิดเผยว่า เมื่อกลางดึกที่ผ่านมา
หน่วยเรือรักษาความสงบเรียบร้อยตามลำน้ำโขง หรือ นรข.
สามารถจับกุมตัวผู้ต้องหาได้ 1 ราย พร้อมรถ 6 ล้อ 1 คัน
ที่บริเวณริมแม่น้ำโขง ในเขต อ.บ้านแพน จ.นครพนม
ขณะกำลังลำเลียงสุนัขประมาณ 600 ตัว ข้ามไปยังฝั่งประเทศลาว
ด้าน พ.ต.อ.กิตติศักดิ์ ศรีจันทร์ ผกก.สภ.บ้านแพง
จ.นครพนม กล่าวว่า จากการสอบสวนเบื้องต้นผู้ต้องหาให้การรับสารภาพว่า
เป็นเพียงคนดูต้นทางเท่านั้น โดยได้รับค่าจ้าง 200 บาท
และไม่มีทราบว่าเจ้าสุนัขทั้งหมดเป็นใคร และจะนำไปส่งขายต่อยังที่ใด
แต่ทั้งนี้จากแนวทางการสืบสวนของเจ้าหน้าที่เบื้องต้น ทราบว่า
สุนัขล็อตนี้มาจากการต้อนจับมาจากจังหวัดอื่นๆ แล้วถูกรวบรวมที่ จ.สกลนคร
ก่อนจะถูกลำเลียงมายังริมฝั่งโขง ช่วงก่อนเทศกาลตรุษจีนที่กำลังมาถึง
อย่างไรก็ตามเบื้องต้น เจ้าหน้าที่ตำรวจ จะได้มีการเรียกผู้ครอบครองรถ 6
ล้อ มาสอบสวนขยายผล เพื่อจับกุมผู้รวมขบวนการต่อไป
