หอเอนเมืองปีซา ตั้งอยู่ที่เมืองปีซาประเทศอิตาลี เริ่มสร้างเมื่อค.ศ. 1174แต่การก่อสร้างต้องหยุดชะงักลงเมื่อก่อสร้างไปได้ประมาณ 4-5 ชั้น เนื่องจากพื้นดินใต้อาคารเริ่มยุบลงจากการที่รากฐานของอาคารไม่มั่นคงพออย่างไรก็ตามต่อมาได้มีการก่อสร้างเพิ่มเติมจนเสร็จสิ้นเรียบร้อยเมื่อปีค.ศ. 1350ซึ่งมีการเปลี่ยนแปลงบางส่วนของโครงสร้างด้านบนไปจากแผนผังเดิมเพื่อถ่วงดุลกับการเอียงของหอโดยรวมระยะเวลาก่อสร้างทั้งสิ้น 176 ปี

กำแพงเมืองจีนสร้างขึ้นเมื่อประมาณพ.ศ. 332 - 339 โดยจิ๋นซีฮ่องเต้ เป็นกำแพงอิฐที่ยาวที่สุดในโลก ซึ่งยาวประมาณ2400 กิโลเมตร เพื่อป้องกันการรุกรานจากชาวตาตาร์ กำแพงสร้างด้วยดิน หิน และก่ออิฐโดยรอบ มีการสร้างป้อมปราการประมาณ 15,000 แห่ง

สุเหร่าโซเฟีย เป็นสถาปัตยกรรมที่มีลักษณะผสมผสานระหว่างศิลปะกรรมกรีกและเปอร์เชียหรือเรียกว่าสถาปัตยกรรมแบบไบเซนไทน์ (Byzantine)  เดิมเป็นโบสถ์ของคริสต์ศาสนา ณ กรุงคอนสแตนติโนเปิล ประเทศตุรกี แต่กลับถูกชนชาติเติร์กบุกทำลาย ต่อมาในสมัยจักรพรรดิจัสติเนียน ได้สร้างขึ้นมาใหม่อย่างวิจิตรงดงามด้วยเครื่องประดับตกแต่งที่มีค่าต่างๆ โดยใช้เวลาในการสร้างนานถึงประมาณ  20  ปี แต่เกิดแผ่นดินไหวขึ้นทำให้แตกร้าวเสียหาย ซึ่งได้รับการซ่อมแซมจนอยู่ในสภาพเดิมในเวลาต่อมา พอหลังจากสมัยของจักรพรรดิจัสติเนียน พระเจ้าโมฮัมเหม็ดที่  2   ซึ่งทรงนับถือศาสนาอิสลามได้เข้ามามีอำนาจเหนือตุรกี ได้ดัดแปลงให้โบสถ์กลายเป็นสุเหร่าที่มีความงามทางสถาปัตยกรรมอีกแบบหนึ่ง
