Oh...Hi Welcome to Nagoya (Sawasdee ka) Today I am your guide and I will show you around Nagoya Center....well, Let`s start with
Twin Towers ( Nagoya Station) The second tallest building complex (245m) in Nagoya.
The right building is for offices. The left building is for a hotel (Nagoya Marriott Associa Hotel). The lower stories of the two tall buildings are common areas. In the common parts most of the floors are for Takashimaya department store and Tokyu Hands general store. 'Tokyu Hands' is a shop which I recomend you to visit. You will find lots of interesting things there.
The view from Panorama House, 51st floor in the office tower, is fantastic ! On a fine day, you can see the Japan Alps, the Suzuka mountains and Ise Bay. To reach Panorama House, take an elevator from the 2nd floor and go up to the 12th floor, buy a ticket at the ticket counter on that floor. Then a nonstop elevator takes you exclusively right up to the 51st floor, Panorama House.
Ok,we will head to Sakae and visit Oasis 21 Sakae is the largest downtown area in Nagoya. It features a number of major department stores including Matsuzakaya (I like to go there for window shopping, no money ) which boasts the largest retail floor space in Japan, as well as Maruei and Mitsukoshi, in addtion o various shops and restaurants. Sakae is where you will also find the TV Tower, Central Park and an art museum. It is an attractive city spot for shopping n the daytime and dinning at night.
Oasis 21 a very unique structure erected in downtown Nagoya. Its structure is meant to represent a spaceship covered in water. However, you need to see it for yourself to decide what you think it looks like. Below the park and the main structure (below the oasis ) there is also one of the main bus terminals, an entrance to the subway, shops, and an area used for various performances. You can enter into the Aichi Art and Culture Center from the park.
Next station for today I will take you to Osu-kannon Here famous for its vibrant shopping district, Osu is an area that reflects traditional hospitality of common people, with Osu Kannon temple in its center. The shopping district is pround of its vitality and is always bustling with people of all ages who shop at the many electrical appliance stores, PC shops, variety stores, old-clotes stores ( You could get a very good peice with a very cheap price, they sell by weigh that clothes, suprise for me the first time too ) Recommended period to visit is around 18th and 20th of each month as they will have a flea market where you could enjoy negotiate Hope you enjoy travel today....We hope to see you again....Hahahaha sound familiar mai ka
