มันเป็นมากกว่าประสบการณ์





หลังจากศึกษาเรื่องความสำเร็จและกลยุทธ์มามาก

ผมพบว่าสิ่งที่ผู้ประสบความสำเร็จมักพูดถึงความสำเร็จของตัวเองมักถูกเพียงครึ่งเดียว เพราะพวกเขาพูดบนพื้นฐานของประสบการณ์ของตัวเองคนเดียว และเราจะพบว่าคนประสบความสำเร็จแต่ละคนก็จะพูดถึงวิธีการประสบความสำเร็จแตกต่างกันออกไป ซึ่งยิ่งทำให้เห็นได้ว่า ต้องมีใครคนใดคนถึงพูดผิด และบางคนพูดถูก หรือพูดถูกทั้งหมด (อันนี้คิดแบบตรรกศาสตร์)

ในความเป็นจริง ประสบการณ์เป็นสิ่งที่พิสูจน์ว่าถูกต้อง แต่ประสบการณ์ของคนๆ หนึ่งก็เป็นเพียงเสี้ยวเดียวของความจริงที่เกิดจากประสบการณ์ของคนทั้งโลก การจะรู้จักความจริง จึงต้องเกิดจากการศึกษาประสบการณ์ชีวิตของคนจำนวนมากๆ แล้วค้นหารูปแบบที่เกิดขึ้น รวมทั้งแยกแยะมันออกมาว่า ปัจจัยใดที่ใช่ และปัจจัยใดที่ไม่เกี่ยวข้อง (บางครั้ง บางคนก็ใส่ความคิดความเชื่อส่วนตัวเข้าไปในคำแนะนำของตน) ทักษะการวิเคราะห์จึงมีความสำคัญในส่วนนี้อีกเช่นกัน

ผมเคยพูดในเชิงประนีประนอมกับคนบางคนเพื่อที่จะหลีกเลี่ยงการถกเถียงอันไม่เกิดประโยชน์ด้วยคำพูดทำนองว่า "ประสบการณ์ต่างกัน" แต่ในความเป็นจริงแล้ว ความจริงจะอยู่เหนือประสบการณ์ เพราะหากทุกคนเอาประสบการณ์ของตัวเองเป็นตัวตั้ง เราก็จะไม่ได้ความรู้ใหม่ๆ อะไรเลย เพราะทุกคนต่างเชื่อในสิ่งที่ตัวเองเชื่อ

แต่หากเราเอาประสบการณ์นั้นมาแยกย่อย เราจะพบความรู้ใหม่ที่ดีกว่าเก่า เราจะรู้ว่า มันมีบางสิ่งที่ถูกเหนือกว่าประสบการณ์ของเรา ซึ่งประสบการณ์ของเราเป็นเพียงซับย่อยในหลักการนั้นเท่านั้น ทุกคนที่พูดจากประสบการณ์จึงมีส่วนถูก แต่ไม่ถูกทั้งหมด และไม่ถูกในทุกสถานการณ์

การเรียนรู้วิธีประสบความสำเร็จจากคนเก่งๆ แม้ว่าจะเป็นสิ่งที่ดี แต่ก็ไม่รู้การเรียนรู้จากคนเก่งๆ หลายๆ คน ซึ่งจะทำให้เราเห็นบางสิ่งที่เหมือนกัน และบางสิ่งที่แตกต่างกัน อันทำให้เราเข้าใจคำว่า "กลยทธ์" ซึ่งหมายถึงไม่มีวิธีการสำเร็จรูปที่ตายตัว

การพยายามเลียนแบบเส้นทางการประสบความสำเร็จของคนอื่นมาใช้ทั้งหมด จึงผิดตามหลักกลยุทธ์ คนที่มีแบคกราวด์ต่างกัน ต้องใช้กลยุทธ์และกลวิธีในการประสบความสำเร็จแตกต่างกัน ซึ่งการจะวางกลยุทธ์ได้ ต้องเกิดจากการเข้าใจภาพใหญ่ ภาพรวม ภาพกว้าง ไม่ใช่รู้แต่ภาพย่อยภายใต้ประสบการณ์ของตนเองเท่านั้น

ตรงนี้เองที่เราจะพบว่า คนที่ประสบความสำเร็จส่วนใหญ่มักไม่ใช่อาจารย์ที่ดี เพราะเขารู้เพียงวิธีการที่เหมาะกับตัวเอง แล้วพยายามแนะนำให้คนอื่นใช้วิธีการนั้น ซึ่งหากผู้รับการแนะนำมีพื้นฐานต่างกัน ความสำเร็จก็จะไม่เกิด

รูปแบบหรือหลักการจึงสำคัญที่สุด เพราะมันจะอธิบายภาพที่ถูกต้องที่สุด ที่ไม่ขึ้นอยู่กับประสบการณ์ และเกิดจากการนำประสบการณ์จำนวนมากมาหาข้อเท็จจริง อ่านมาก รู้มาก แต่ไม่สามารถเลือกหยิบกลยุทธ์ที่เหมาะกับตนเองมาใช้ ก็ไม่เกิดประโยชน์ คนเราไม่ใช่จะเหมาะที่จะใช้ดาบกันทุกคน บางคนเหมาะจะใช้ทวน ใช้แส้ หรืออื่นๆ เป็นอาวุธ

เข้าใจตรงนี้ก่อน เราจึงจะไม่หลงไปกับการศึกษาเส้นทางความสำเร็จของคนบางคนเพียงคนเดียว แล้วพยายามก๊อปปี้ของเขามาใช้ครับ
