I am a techno gadget geek
I write upon my palm,
and in the megabytes I seek
a bit of inner calm.
To keep my cal under control
and track what I've to do,
to free my mind from data droll,
my Palm comes shining through.
My work day life is now in synch
and names are near at hand.
I share with friends an IR link.
E-fficiency is grand!
I put appoitments in datebook
but don't take time to think
How silly to the world I look
Note taking without ink.
But as a techno gadget geek
the gain is worth the price.
To save an hour every week
is really very nice.
I'm always just a call away.
E-mailing on the run.
A phone to make one stop and say,
web surfing can be done!
Text messages come with my phone,
a cal and a to do
contacts so I am not alone,
That's sync point number two.
My wristwatch holds 100 names
and meetings for a year
Amazing how this techno tames
dyslexia-based fear
My secretary, through Yahoo,
updates my daily tour
Which I have online access to.
It 's sync point number four!
And as a techno gadget geek
I'm infinitly sure
If syncronisity seams weak
The NET provides the cure.
Linux, laptops, and my 12 Suns
complete the techo-team
Amazing just how well it runs
The teamwork is a dream!
In days of old, or so I'm told
all mail was penned in ink
And airmail stamps were often sold
to make a quicker link
Eletronically the new world writes
Email does fly for free.
My mail fills up 3 gigabytes
and dates from eighty-three!
I reach my friends with just a click,
or call them from the road.
And through the techno's magic trick,
reduce my mental load
If you don't have a PDA,
a cell phone, or laptop,
this is a call to see the way,
to get out there and shop.
I am a techno gadget geek,
in touch and in control.
Its to these benifits I speak,
Their vitues I extoll!
