Why Do We Talk? A documentary Directed by Damon Thomas and Produced by Penny Palmer and Kate Townsend; Steven Mackintosh, Noam Chomsky and William Fifer are also present in the Documentary. The most common phenomena of nature still remain an obscure mystery to the world. It may sound simple to just talk, however, no one is yet aware of the knotty secret behind it's miraculous science. It is the most common voluntary act one does without being aware of it's importance and its complicating facts. "Why Do We Talk?" reveals the failure of scientist's research over this phenomena. It also features a father, making a motion picture of his new- born's first three years of life in order to unveil the truth behind this exceptional mystery.
The god-father of linguistics, Noam Chomsky, was the first to suggest that our ability to converse and talk is congenital or rather, innate. One might not recognize its importance until and unless they become close to nature and see the world from the perspective of a person who is disabled of this beautiful and marvelous prodigy. Then a one-in-a-million experience shows how a new extrinsic language arises in a short lapse of only one afternoon in an attempt to apprehend what a language is and wherefore it is.
So, why do we talk? How do we talk? Do we realize how we perform this miracle? A simple answer to this is no, and nobody has yet rationalized the truth in it, although the search is still in progress, however, it has not reached a logical and consequent conclusion as yet. Can we find out and unveil the phenomena, which still has not been resolved even by using the latest technology available so far? Or has God restricted our inquisition? Is this the final destiny of the human thought and ponder? Scientists and experts are still struggling to discover a logical explanation to it. However "Why Do We Talk" is a very interesting documentary which compels man to think about natures mystic possibilities.
