ฮีโรส์ออฟนิวเอิร์ธ(อังกฤษ: Heroes of Newerth) หรือย่อเป็น ฮอน (อังกฤษ: HoN) เป็นเกมแนว MultiplayerOnline Battle Arena (MOBA) พัฒนาโดยค่าย S2 Games ปัจจุบันพัฒนาโดย Frostburn Studio เล่นได้ทั้งบนระบบปฏิบัติการไมโครซอฟท์วินโดวส์, แมคโอเอส และลีนุกซ์เกมนี้มีรูปลักษณ์คล้ายกับเกมดีเฟนซ์ออฟดิแอนเชียนส์ ฮอนเป็นเกม แอคชั่นวางแผนเกมแรกของS2 Games ถูกปล่อยออกมาเมื่อ 12 พฤษภาคมพ.ศ. 2553 และปล่อยมาให้เล่นฟรีเมื่อ29 กรกฎาคม พ.ศ. 2554 ตั้งแต่วันที่5 พฤษภาคม 2558 ตัวเกมได้เปลี่ยนผู้พัฒนาจากค่ายS2 Games เป็น Frostburn Studios

History

Heroes of Newerth (HoN) is a multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) video game originallydeveloped by S2 Games for Microsoft Windows, macOS, and Linux.The game idea was derived from the Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne custom map Defenseof the Ancients and was S2 Games' first MOBA title. The game wasreleased on May 12, 2010, and re-released as a free-to-play game on July 29, 2011. On May 5,2015, Heroes of Newerth development duties passed to FrostburnStudios, with the development team moving over to the new company.

Development

Developmentfirst started in 2005. In October 2009, Associate Game Designer Alan "Idejder" Cacciamaniclaimed that Heroes of Newerth had been in development for"34 months, but the first 13 were spent on engine development. Theentirety of assets, including maps, items, heroes, and art were made in 21months."

New features,balance changes and new heroes are regularly introduced with patches. Most gamemechanics and many heroes in Heroes of Newerth are heavily basedon Defense of the Ancients. Theadditions that differentiate Heroes of Newerth from Defenseof the Ancients are features independent from game play; such astracking of individual statistics, in-game voice communication,GUI-streamlined hero selection, game reconnection, match making, playerbanlists, penalties for leaving and chat features. Several features added viaupdates include a Hero Compendium (a list of the heroes in the game withdetailed statistics about them), the ability to set a "following"trait on a friend which makes the player join/leave the games that a friendjoins (similar to the "party" feature in other games), an in-gameladder system, and a map editor. The game uses S2 Games' proprietary K2 Engineand a client-server model similar to that used in many modern multiplayergames.

Heroes ofNewerth was in beta from April 24, 2009 until May 12, 2010.Throughout this time, over 3,000,000 unique accounts were registered.

รูปเเบบการเล่น

เกมนี้จะแบ่งฝ่ายฝ่ายละ5 ผู้เล่น โดยมีฝั่ง Legion และ Hellborneโดยผู้เล่นจะต้องทำการเลือก Heroes จากนั้นก็จะทำการดันเลน ไปจนถึงฝ่ายตรงข้ามให้ได้ เพื่อที่จะไปถึงสิ่งก่อสร้างของทั้งสองฝ่าย โดยในเกมส์จะมี Heroes 3 สาย คือStrength Intelligence และ Agility โดยแต่ละสายก็มีการเล่นที่แยกแตกต่างกันไปเช่น Carry Ganker Support Solo Etc.เกมส์นี้ระบบการเล่นจะไม่ต่างจากDota มากนัก ซึ่งหากผู้เล่นมีพื้นฐาน Dota ก็จะเล่นได้แบบไม่ยากนัก

General

Heroes ofNewerth pits two teams of players against each other: the Legion andthe Hellbourne.Both teams are based at opposite corners of the map in theirrespective bases. Bases consist of buildings, creep spawn points, towers, ahero spawning pool, and a central structure. The goal of the game is to eitherdestroy the central structure, the World Tree (Legion) or Sacrificial Shrine(Hellbourne), of the opposite base or force the other team to concede. Playersachieve this by selecting heroes with unique skills to combat the other team.

โหมดเกมเเละ การจับคู่

โหมดที่เเตกต่างกันในเกมคือ: โหมด Co-op, PlayerHosted, Normal เเละโหมด Casual โดยในโหมด Co-op ผู้เล่นสามารถเล่นกับผู้อื่นได้โดยมีศัตรูฝั่งตรงข้ามเป็นบอทหรือผู้เล่นสามารถเลือกที่จะเล่นคนเดียวได้โดยทั้งเพื่อนในทีมเเละศัตรูในฝั่งตรงข้ามเป็นบอททั้งหมด ส่วนในโหมด Player Hostedจะเป็นโหมดที่ผู้เล่นสามารถปรับเเต่งเกมของพวกเขาได้โดยสามารถชวนผู้เล่นคนอื่นเข้ามาร่วมเล่นเกมได้อีกด้วย มาถึงในโหมด Casual โดยโหมดนี้จะมีลักษณะคล้ายๆกับโหมด Normal ในส่วนของรูปเเบบการเล่นเกม เเต่อย่างไรก็ตามโหมด Casual ก็มีความเเต่งต่างกับโหมด Normal ในรูปเเบบอื่นๆเช่น การได้รับเงินเเละค่าประสบการณ์ในเเต่ละเเมทซ์

Game modes and matchmaking

The differentgame modes are: Co-op, Player Hosted, Normal, and Casual. Co-op matches playerseither with other players or with bots against a team of bots. Player Hostedallows players to customize their games and then host them to a list for othersto join. Casual is similar to a Normal game in terms of layout and game play.However, they differ in other ways such as an included courier for each side atthe start of the game and increased gold and experience earnings throughouteach match.

ฮีโร่

ตั้งเเต่วันที่1 ตุลาคม พ.ศ. 2559 มีฮีโร่ที่สามารถเล่นได้ถึง 132 ตัว ในเเต่ละเกมผู้เล่นต้องเลือกฮีโร่ตัวใดตัวหนึ่งในการเเข่งขัน ฮีโร่ส่วนมากจะมีสกิลอยู่ 4สกิลที่สามารถอับเกรดเพิ่มความสามารถเเละเพิ่มเลเวลได้โดยคีย์กดเริ่มต้นคือคีย์ "Q","W","E"เเละ"R" สกิลจะสามารถเพิ่มความความสามารถหรืออัพเลเวลได้ก็ต่อเมื่อฮีโร่มีเลเวลอัพปุ่ม "R" คือปุ่มสำหรับการใช้

Hero breakdown

As of 1October 2016 there are 132 playable heroes. Each game, a playerchooses one hero to be for the duration of the match. Most heroes have fourabilities that may be acquired and upgraded as the hero gains experienceand levels up, defaultedto keys "Q", "W", "E", and "R". Anability can be leveled up whenever the hero's level goes up. "R" isthe hero's ultimate and can only be leveled up when the hero reaches level 6except for some heroes.

Experience isgained for being within the range of enemy units when they are killed. Themaximum level a hero may achieve is 25 and the experience required per levelgain increases with each new level. The player obtains gold though periodicincome and combat experience, which is used for buying items that increase thepower of his or her character.

Heroes aregrouped by their main attribute. The three types are Agility, Intelligence, andStrength. Usually, Agility heroes rely on their basic attacks and go for damageper second (DPS) and increase their armor and attack speed . Intelligenceheroes maximize the use of their abilities and try to maximize the amount ofMana they have and Mana regeneration. Strength heroes can take the most damageand increase their Max Health and Health regeneration .

Heroes alsoare grouped by their attack type. The two attack types are melee and ranged.Melee can only attack units next to the hero. Ranged heroes can shoot unitsfrom farther away, although heroes can use skills that are both melee andranged.
