The 5th Thammasat University ELT Conference
The 5th Thammasat University ELT Conference "Expanding visions in ELT" Monday 8 June, 2009 Thammasat University, Prachan Campus Bangkok, Thailand
The conference is organised by the English Department, Faculty of Liberal Arts, Thammasat University.
Rationale
The roles of English and ELT in Thailand have been expanding. This calls for expanding visions for effective ways in which recent knowledge in linguistics, second/foreign language learning, psychology and other related fields can contribute theoretical insights to English language teaching, learning and curriculum development in this country. How do we keep up with the changes?
With this question in mind our upcoming seminar is thus held in order to draw together innovations in theories and practices in English Language Teaching, to provide an opportunity for all participants to exchange ideas, share classroom experiences and take part in academic discussions, and to serve as a platform for academics in the field to present their research findings.
